Welcome to the table

In 1985, at the far far point of a dead end Canadian country road, I discovered Car Wars, Traveller, and AD&D.

The memories I have of those games, and the friendships that grew around them, are some of my most precious. My best friends and I would hound the older kids to let us play, and soon we were part of the party, telling stories, laughing, and staying up into the late hours by torchlight in the barn loft.

A few years later, when the older kids graduated and left for college, it was my turn to share stories. 2nd edition came out, and soon I was studying THAC0 charts, memorizing rules, buying expansions, and running games for my friends. We would battle those skeletons, drink those flagons of ale, and trick the dragons out of their hoards. We were the heroes of our own imaginations!

But then life began to level up, and eventually the opportunities to play began to crumble like an unkept castle. I moved to Japan, and never made it back.

Until, like a tale retold by a tavern bard, the need to reconnect with those moments from my youth brought me back to my bag of vintage dice, with their well worn edges and crayon colored digits. Then the stories were being weaved again while dice decided the fate of our shared narrative.

What a blessing that I get to create these new tales with you, the players! I hope you will join me.

About My Games

My first priority is to help weave a challenging, rewarding, and cooperative story that engages and entertains.

I run my games as close to the rules as written as possible so that people know what to expect. At the same time, I enjoy a cool moment as much as the next person, and will probably allow things at least once :)

My game balance is dictated by the party. If you want more combat, so be it. Want more exploration or role-play? You got it. If you want more information about a rule or need some help developing your character, I am always open to post session discussions on Discord, but mid-game I keep it moving... We should be rolling those Nat20s!

I want every player to have fun, and my table is open to anyone that can do so in a way that is respectful, open, and accepting. There is no place at my table for those that have fun at the expense of others.
